Katamari could appear on all three platforms
March 19th, 2007 by Edwin in General Gaming News
Orange Lounge Radio has word that Namco will be announcing a new Katamari game next month, and what makes this piece of news even more appealing is the fact that this title will debut not only on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but the Wii as well. Beautiful Katamari as the game is known will cost $39.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3 owners, while Wii owners can smile and pay $10 less when Beautiful Katamari appears on store shelves this October 17th for the two HD consoles and November 14th for the “gimmicky” Wii.
Namco has not verified this story as at press time, making this piece of breaking ‘news’ a rumor, but Orange Lounge Radio are willing to sacrifice their young for the legitimacy of this story. Their forums are abuzz with defense arguments, claiming the source to be a reliable person who is currently working in the video game distribution industry. A valid point for the legitimacy of this ‘rumor’ is November 14th coincides with a trademark Namco Bandai filed a couple of months ago (Trademark serial number 76671822).
Too bad this mat isn’t compatible with the actual DDR game itself. Imagine grooving to the classics on the entire DDR series with this, everyone in your office will want one to relieve themselves from those Monday morning blues. The USB Finger Dance Mat makes for a great boredom killer at the office, and it retails for £9.99. It is currently out of stock, but you can place an order and receive it as soon as April rolls around. Picture courtesy of Gamasutra.
