Powershot Pinball Constructor unleashes your creativity
March 17th, 2007 by Edwin in Game Previews
Ah, I remember the pinball machines of yore that swallowed up my quarters faster than you can press those flippers. Ok, so I suck at pinball games, and that weakness has stuck with me through to the digital age. Those who love pinball, however, can look forward to the Powershot Pinball Constructor title that is due on the Nintendo DS system when Q2 rolls around. Not only do you get to enjoy the experience of playing through pre-designed tables, you also have the power of creating your very own tables for friends and family to try out!
Of course, I predict that this title will last long after it has been released since you can actually upload your custom-made tables online with other people. Pinball is also more fun in the included two player mode which enables both players to sabotage their opponent’s score in the quest to attain the elusive high score. Will it be restricted local wireless gaming, or will it take advantage of the WiFi connect system? Since Oxygen Games will be developing this title, we can assume that it will be an European release.
I’m not sure about you, but I never really quite got bitten by the pinball bug. After all, I seem to always be a step behind the ball, pressing the flipper a microsecond too late after it has fallen down into the abyss. For those of you living across the pond, will you be importing this title? It would be nice to see a non-Japanese title being imported for once, and at least there won’t be any language barriers with Powershot Pinball Constructor.
