Nintendo Wii to receive Scarface
March 2nd, 2007 by Edwin in Game PreviewsThe world of video gaming can be quite an unpredictable one, with certain games raking in the accolades when least expected. Scarface: The World is Yours is a good example. This game has already achieved sales over over 1.5 million copies on other platforms, will now be ported over to the family oriented Nintendo Wii. Of course, whenever a game is released on Nintendo’s latest platform, you would expect it to take advantage of the unique control scheme as that is what makes the Wii stand apart from the rest of the competition in the first place. The Scarface port will feature optimized graphics (another word for dumbed down since the Wii’s graphical capabilities are nothing much to shout about).
Vivendi Games mentioned in passing that the addition of motion control into an incredible celebrity cast of a Hollywood produced game will definitely bring gaming to the next level. Fans of Tony Montana will be able to experience video gaming like never before, thanks to fast paced action and a flowing storyline worthy of an Oscar. Players will take on the role of the protagonist Tony Montana, with the incentive of re-enacting the mansion shoot out in the original movie. The game takes a different twist as Tony survives this time round to go into hiding, biding his time as he plans to execute his vengeance upon his enemies.
This title will include a voice cast of over 50 celebrities from movies, TV, sports, and music, with a soundtrack of over 120 licensed music tracks to keep the game flowing. Scarface: The World is Yours will be released this summer for the Wii at a yet undisclosed price.
