Energy bar for gamers - what next?
February 17th, 2007 by Edwin in Soapbox
In all seriousness, what is the definition of ’sport’? Do you actually have to sweat when it comes to a sporting event? Does chess consitute as a sport? To answer the last question, it should be in the affirmative as it is included in the Olympic Games. Sports purists might disagree as to what a real sporting event is, leaning more towards the physical aspect that involves a whole lot of sweat and training to build up one’s body. In the same vein, is gaming a sport? It doesn’t really matter what the answer is though with the introduction of the Headshot Gamer Bar.
This unique energy bar targets gamers who think they have actually lost a whole bunch of calories while clicking away furiously throughout the night. In reality, they are more prone to dehydration due to sweaty palms and the huge amount of Coke to supplement their gaming sessions. This toffee-flavored Guarana Infused Candy Bar touts to support the hardcore gaming community, giving you a (presumably) sugar rush without tasting like crap.
I don’t suppose gamers are the only ones who have exclusive access to this energy bar, as it sure won’t hurt to munch on one as a midday snack. Will gaming centers and Internet cafes carry this Gamer Bar soon? Only time will tell, but you know that Gaming Bars have hit big time when Jonathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel munches on one while winning the next gaming championship. There is no word on pricing, although the Gaming Bar will be released sometime late next month.
