New Call of Duty 3 maps broken
January 19th, 2007 by Edwin in Console News
Word has spread all over the Internet that the new Valor Map Pack for the Xbox 360 is as broken as a DS Lite torn in two. You would expect a certain degree of compatibility, but those who have downloaded the new map pack were surprised to find out that NONE of the maps work at all. Yes, not even a single one. Nada. Zilch. This latest development will definitely not sit down well with owners of Xbox 360s who spent their hard-earned money to purchase a non-working map pack.
Unfortunately for these gamers, this is definitely not the first time such a thing happened. If my memory serves me correctly, Call of Duty 2 also had tons of bugs to iron out when it was released, and its successor fared no better without offering 100% functionality. I guess this disease is pretty rampant these days as gaming studios tend to rush their software to meet the release dateline just to satiate a bunch of hungry gamers instead of biting the bullet of a missed deadline to produce a final product that actually works without any glitches.
Despite some people reporting solutions, there is no official word yet. If you head over to the official message boards, there is a mob of angry people who are growing by the minute, adding complaint after complaint about the non-working map pack. TreyArch, creators of the game, have not yet released any statement. We strongly suggest they do so soon before losing a substantial amount of the gamer market should they decide to release a future game.
