Gaming gold going for $25,000
December 16th, 2006 by Edwin in Console News, Gaming Hardware
I seriously doubt that the majority of us gamers out there actually have enough gaming street cred to impress the press and the general populace as it is more often than not due to the deficiency of a healthy monetary arsenal more over the lack of gaming passion. Thankfully, there are a precious few gamers in this world who fills both criteria, and what is even more touching is the fact that he is willing to replace his love for video games with a real life wife. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I seriously doubt that you will be able to find another console bundle deal on eBay in the near future than the one being offered by seller markcz5581.
In the name of Mario and Zelda, you ask, why is he letting go of a bunch of gaming machines that are guaranteed to wet your pants? For a mere $25,000 (and upwards, depending on how the auction goes), you get a shiny new, unopened Sony PS3 to go along with an original Xbox, a Gamecube, a Dreamcast, the venerable PSOne, a Nintendo 64, a Super NES, and a NES. In fact, markcz5581 will even go back further in time by throwing in a slew of handhelds including a DS, a DS Lite, a GBA, the GBA SP, the Sega Game Gear Portable, a NeoGeo pocket, a Gameboy Pocket, a Gameboy Color, a Gameboy Printer, and last of all, the failed Virtual Boy.
Of course, what good are such systems if you do not have the games to go with it? In addition to all the appropriate controllers and accessories, you will also receive a bundle of over 400 games to keep you satisfied until the PS5, Nintendo Wii 2, and Xbox 720 comes out. Pity there was no Atari 2600, the Sega Genesis and Master System, the 3DO, PS2, and Colevision. I suppose you can hanker those off from somebody else, but it can’t get any more complete than this. Heck, if you can pony up $75,000 for the Buy It Now! price, you’ll even get a free Wii. The reason for this madness is he is going to use your money to pick up an engagement ring for his girlfriend. Looks like another gamer has bitten the dust - perhaps he can just let her have some Wii fun in order to change her stance about games…
