No Footie For PS3
August 24th, 2006 by Sean in General Gaming News
Microsoft are celebrating with the news that, as far as next-gen machines are concerned, FIFA 2007 and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will be XBox 360 exclusives. Whilst the old generation of consoles and handhelds will still be seeing versions, PS3 and Wii have been left on the substitute bench as far as the two most popular soccer franchises are concerned.
XBox European boss Chris Lewis said “XBox 360 owns football“.
This is obviously a fairly major coup for Microsoft, although given that both games are due to be released before the PS3 is launched, it’s maybe not all that surprising really. It’s a bit of a downer for those PS3 owners to be who want a bit of a virtual kick about. They’ll have to make do with running the PS2 version using the backwards compatability I guess!
