More Guitar Hero!!
April 18th, 2006 by Sean in Game Previews, General Gaming News
Guitar Hero has already built a massive fan base, so news that a sequel is to be released towards the end of this year is sure to cause a stir among fans eager for more classic rock tunes to Air Guitar along with. The original game (only recently released in Europe) came with a cool replica electric guitar controller, which allowed you to play the game whilst adopting the pose of your favourite rock guitarist.
Probably the most exciting (and potentially expensive!) news regarding the new game is the addition of a multiplayer mode. Each song is set to be split into two separate tracks, for example lead and bass, so two players can jam together to recreate their favourite classic. There’ll be more to do this time as well, with 40 licensed tracks instead of the original’s 30.
The series is not likely to end there either, with publisher Red Octane saying that they hope to release further versions of the game covering different musical styles, for example heavy metal.
