It even states that importing a US version (which will run fine on Euro DS) won't make a difference either. I wonder if this restriction may just be if you're connecting via one of the free WiFi hotspots for bandwidth reasons. Most of the hotspots (in the UK anyway) are the same ones which people have to pay to use laptops with, so the operators are probably concerned about large volumes of data being passed about for free. I think its been well accepted that the games use of, an reason for, lobby only voip is a good thing. The most obvious being lag issues. The others being, have you played Halo2 recently...?
