The Simpson’s Hit & Run
January 12th, 2006 by Anita in Game Reviews
This is one awesome game for Xbox even if you are not a Simpson’s fan. It starts out just the beginning of the hit television show. You know you will see Homer Simpson on his couch, since he is known as a couch potato.
You will begin a tutorial with whom else but Bart as your teacher. He of course, pokes fun at the thought of a tutorial, but doesn’t he poke fun at almost everything.
The mission is explained to so you will know exactly what to do, but you can also explore around Springfield if you desire unless you are involved in a race. Exploring Springfield in a no time mode will give you plenty of time to discover all kinds of cool items hidden around.
If you do not like driving games, then this Simpson game is not for you. You will have to drive to complete missions and race against other characters throughout the game. As you drive around in Homer’s large car you will love running over everything in site, but keep an eye on the “Hit and Run” meter. If it goes to high, the Springfield police are sure to be on your tail, but if you slow down and control your driving, they will eventually stop the chase.
As you crash into things you may need to get a new car, if that occurs just pull over to a telephone booth and get another car or watch for a gold wrench that will automatically fix your car. Of course, while you are destroying the town, running people down and causing havoc all over Springfield, Homer will of course come up with some pretty good excuses. Isn’t he the king of excuses anyway?
Just remember, if you are not being chased or in a type of race, park your car and go exploring. You will love the coins you find and the purchases you can make with your new found treasures.
