Sonic the Hedgehog

For anyone who hasn’t played Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega, you are missing out on some fun. I love the way in which Sonic rolls up in a ball and then zooms across the screen.
When you play this game on Sega, you are of course Sonic. He is a cute blue hedgehog. He has a cool gift of super speed and he is against Dr. Robotnik who of course wants to rule the world, but he also has the desire to turn all animals into robots by using the power of the Chaos Emeralds. In this game, you will play six different zones each one with three acts. The levels have all kinds of items boxes and rings that are filled with shields that will protect you against one hit. After you get 10 rings, you are invincible for a short period of time, speed up shoes will give you more speed and you will also find life boxes.
Green Hill is the first zone. It has a brilliantly colored landscape with checkerboard for land and loops. Marble Zone is next with purple ruins that are filled with robots, falling spike traps, and the dreaded lava. This lava is not your ordinary lava; it chases you, falls of roofs and shoots up from the ground to form seas of lava. Be very careful while jumping. Now, you will enter a large pinball type city, Spring Yard Zone. This level has springs, flashing lights, floating spiky balls and of course springs. Labyrinth Zone is an underwater level, but Sonic cannot swim. You will have to find air bubbles in order to live through this level. Star Light Zone is up next. In this zone, you will encounter self-destructing bombs, fans that will push you back the way you came, and springboards that move similar to see saws. The last zone is Scrap Brain Zone. It is full of all kinds of danger including buzz saws, trapdoors, open flame vents, electric spark generators and of course many robots.
I hope you end the game by retrieving all six emeralds, if not try, try again.
