Acrophobia

acrophobia
This is one game that I really enjoy playing online. It is a multi-player game where you can also make friends and chat while you create comical, clever or imaginative answers to random acronyms.

You will receive points based on how many people like and vote for your answer and how quickly you give an answer. The object of course is to be either first or second when it comes to points. The person that has 30 points first will advance to the Face Off round who ever comes in second place will also advance to the Face Off round. The game goes to the Face Off round as soon as one player has accumulated 30 points.

First, you will have to choose a game room or allow a room to be chosen for you. There is an adult side that does allow adult language in the room and the answers to these acronyms can be rather crude but some are also very hilarious. As long as there are 3 people in the game room a game can be played. There cannot be more than 14 players in one room.

How the game is played is pretty simple. The first round is three letters and you will have 60 seconds to create an answer from the letters you are given. Sometimes there is a category such as Food and Drinks or General Acrophobia. Try to think of a great answer in less time to receive more points, but also try to come up with an answer that you believe will have others vote for your answer. The more unique and witty the more votes you will receive. As the game advances the second round will be with four letters, then 5 letters and then back to 3 letters. As an example of ideas for playing Acrophobia let us use the letters FUFG, answers could be “Football Up For Grabs”. If you type in an answer that does not fit such as you typed in football goes for grabs or you use profane language not in an adult room the game will ask you to fix the error. If you still have time remaining you may change your answer.

Next, you will vote for the answer that you like the best. After voting, the name of the player for each answer will appear beside their answer.

Scoring of the game is as follows. You will receive one point per vote, 2 points is given to the fastest answer, but no votes will be awarded to a player that does not vote during a voting round. The winner is the one with the most votes and then will choose the next category.

The game continues until one player has a score of 30 points. During the Face Off round the first and second place winners will go against each other in a head-to-head round of 3. The other players will get to vote on their favorite answer without knowing who answered what.

You can play this game at uproar.com maybe bump into me there.
