Blob Wars

Blob wars is a fun interactive board game where you can play against the computer or a friend online. It is kind of like checkers in one way, but the object of the game is to take control of the board with your blobs. You have to rid the board of your opponent’s blobs or have the most blobs on the board in order to win when the board is full.

You can choose from a different variety of boards to create harder games.

You and your opponent begin with two blobs on an 8 by 8 grid. You start by clicking on one of your blobs to either clone or move. If you only move your blob one-step in any direction, it will clone. This means you will leave one blob where it was and another will appear in the next square you click. If you move two steps, away your blob will move there and there will be an empty space where that blob was before your move. As you and your opponent move or clone your blobs, they will be able to turn their opponent’s blobs into their own if they are close by.

These blobs are round, cute and quite adorable. The sound can be a bit annoying after awhile, but there are different sounds going on as you move your blobs around the grid. There is also a mute button if you prefer silence while playing.

The gameplay is simple. It is a game of taking turns. If you are playing single player it is quite hard to beat the computer. Or it was for me. I guess with practice I might get better. As the board fills up, it gets to be a challenge to find a place to move that will not allow your opponent the chance to conquer your blobs.

Playing with a friend would be great, as you would have the human brain to try to beat instead of a computer.

Have fun with this game here
