tokobot
You are the young explorer Bolt, in this awesome PSP game. You begin with six other robotic allies all willing to do your bidding. Through your adventure, you will obtain more. The other Tokobots will follow you around and can even be recalled if you lose any of them by them falling off a ledge or even if they get stuck behind obstacles.

The tokobots are tools and weapons in one, giving Bolt all the help he need to stomp on platforms, collect interesting objects, and push or pull boxes that get in the way. The problem is that you must solve puzzles while you are trying to triumph in battles.

You, as Bolt can command your troops to fall in line right behind you, fan out around you, or encircle you if that is your preference. In all of these cool moves, you can link your arms together with the other Tokobots and perform special maneuvers known as joint actions. You can hurl your allies in from of you to make a type of ladder so you can climb to new regions and even spin similar to a top so knock away your enemies.

As you play the game, you will unlock new moves by collecting a variety of interesting gadgets. After you have the correct of stuff, you will be able to turn your soldiers into cranes for the ability to lift and drop boxes in the mini-game, turn them into cannons to launch bolts at objects and enemies, and even a sword swinging samurai warrior. All of these and more will be exciting as you unlock all the new gadgets and gain control.

With the Tokobot game, you may think that it is more geared for children, but the puzzles will be hard even for an adult to figure out. If conquering puzzles is your favorite activity then Bolt is sure to take you on a new adventure in puzzle solving that will open up a whole new world.

Sounds interesting, a bit like Lemmings perhaps?

My main concern is that they don’t go overboard on the special abilities which you only use twice during the entire game.

Puzzle games tend to work best when there are fewer things to remember, with Lemmings being a good example. A lot of the new skills in Lemmings 2 were near identical to the original Lemmings skills, which made them almost redundant.
