Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories
December 7th, 2005 by Anita in Game Reviews
If you have ever watched Yu-Gi-Oh on television and got into what the cartoon is all about, then you are sure to enjoy playing this game on your Sony Playstation.
Duel Monsters is the real game and you duel against another person in the game or one of your friends if you are playing the two-player mode. The cards are your ammunition and they depict awesome creatures and powerful magic. Duel Monsters is based on the Shadow Game, which is a mystic ritual that involved real monsters and spells that was performed in ancient Egypt around 5,000 years ago.
As you begin your game, you must first customize your deck of cards. Then you can choose from Campaign or free duel. In the campaign mode, you will follow a storyline and duel against a variety of enemies along the way. As you win a duel, you progress forward. You can also win cards from your enemies.
In the free duel mode, you can duel against any of the opponents that you have already defeated in the campaign mode. This free mode will allow you to receive more cards for better playing power.
Each card that you possess in your deck can be a monster card such as Dragon, Spellcaster, Zombie, Warrior, Beast-warrior, Magic cards, Terrain Cards, Trap Cards, and Ritual Cards. Each monster card along with the other cards can make your monster stronger or weaker.
As you duel other players either through the single player mode or the two player mode you will gain experience and learn which monsters can be fused together to create even stronger monsters to defeat your opponent. You will also learn all about the different terrains and which one is better with which monster and even learn more about to defeat your opponents.
The two-player mode is great because you can duel against your friends and show them who has the power of the cards.
