WWE Smackdown vs. Raw, by THQ
December 6th, 2005 by Anita in Game Reviews
As with all WWE titles this wrestling game gives you fun and exciting competition. The graphics have improved over the other games and there are many more challenges. You will enjoy all the new moves your wrestlers can do with a more realistic look and feel and the weapon attacks are more awesome than ever before.
If you really love all the pro-wrestling games by THQ then this one will soon be your favorite in either single or multi-player mode.
Of course you will recognize the most famous and popular wrestlers in the game such as Jimmy Snuka, Bret Hart, and Legion of Doom (R.I.P. Hawk).
Talking about playing the game, the grappling system is great with 16 front grapples for each wrestler and 4 for submission only. The need to repeatedly tap the square is no longer important, as all you need to do is L2 for strikes and R2 for grapples. This will certainly improve your game moves.
The WWE Smackdown vs. Raw has many new gameplay mechanics that give you full control over all the aspects of the game these new mini games include stare chop battles, stare downs, submission reversals, match tactics and an improved Royal Rumble.
What would any wrestling match or game be without hot babes? And, of course, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw has more than its share of hotter than ever Divas. They even came up with an enhanced bra and panties match, with some of the most popular Divas around.
Step into the ring as your favorite wrestler, take him to the top, and injure as many of your enemies as you can along the way. If you enjoy multi-player then you must take a crack at Hell in a Cell and Elimination Chamber matches. You had better be great or you will be the one in pain.
