Deer Hunter: The 2005 Season
November 30th, 2005 by Anita in Game Previews
Deer Hunter: The 2005 Season is for the person that enjoys the preparation of the hunt as much as the hunt itself.
You begin by creating your own virtual hunter that will be you in the game. You can be either a guy or a gal, choose from a range of models and skin color for your avatar and the clothing that you prefer you to wear. You can learn to work with your skill points to achieve the type of hunter you would like to be. Your player will take on the characteristics by the way, in which you place your skill points. You may have to try more than once to get the hunter the way in which you would like.
Now, you are ready to hunt. You can choose from six different locations such as Australia and Germany. Each location has a special target range and one species of deer. There are five species, which include the European Roe Deer and the Axis Deer.
It is now time to choose your weapon for hunting. There are 17 weapons that you can choose from such as the recurve bow and some really new ones like a bolt rifle with a thermal scope. You can even use a gun template and create your own awesome gun. You can use skins and make your weapon look any way you wish. You are then able to choose your own scopes, ammunition, and calibration. This is what my son loves to do. He loves creating his own unique gun. He created one that was a thermal rifle that would spot anything in his range that produced heat.
If you enjoy hunting, you will enjoy this game and the realistic qualities. The minimum system requirements are windows 98/2000/ME/XP, processor needs to be PIII 700 MHz, you will need DirectX 9, 128 MB RAM, and 550 MB of free hard drive space.
