Rolling Its Way to the PSP: Katamari!

November 18th, 2005 by Alex in Game Previews, General Gaming News

Namco recently released information stating that Katamari will in fact be launched for the PSP! The game will be titled Me and My Katamari. Not a single laceless shoe, tree, or school building will be safe from your massive ball of junk which will now accumulate itself on the PSP. Wait, SPAM on my PSP!? No? Just random inanimate objects rolled into an oddly perfectly shaped ball? Oh, well that’s okay… I think…

Anyways, the ball rolling frenzy will take place on an island paradise where your loveable character has taken his family for a little R&R, but not too much of that seems to be involved as he must roll countless katamaries to build homes for the homeless islanders.. Now you can do a little community service! Right from your PSP! You will be able to go head to head with 3 other players, 4 total, as well as allow you to completely customize your character.

Me and My Katamari is expected to launch sometime in 2006, and will be quite the stir for those who actually do love Katamari Damacy. :)

I really hope that Europe gets to see both this and We Love Katamari on PS2. There just aren’t enough crazy games released over here any more!

Oh, and the King Of All Cosmos rules! ;-)

Looks like we’re in luck after all. Namco have plans to release both We Love Katamari and Me and My Katamari in Europe early next year via EA.
