Xfire, Ultimate Game Chatting Software?
November 12th, 2005 by Canada1824 in General Gaming News
I will say this once; Xfire is one of the best chatting systems for gaming freaks. Of course, it has its pros and cons; here is game-addicts review:
Functionality: 9/10
It’s pretty easy to install, and to get going. All you need to know is your friends’ (or clan) xfire account name and you are set to go. Another cool part is its ability to join people’s server, and it has its own server browser that is pretty cool.
Skins: 8/10
I really liked its selection.
There is the combat theme for all you battlefield or war freaks while the fantasy skin looks like a old parchment of paper. The Sci-Fi skin is just a futuristic skin with a nice border. It’s pretty cool on all the different formats you can use.
What you can use:
-IM during games (without returning to desktop)
-set custom status
-join servers while chatting
-compatible with about 400 games
This is all free. Yes, nothing, no credit cards, or anything. Just download and install. This chatting application is already being used by over a million users, so if you don’t have it yet? Go for it. It’s a great application.
