A Flash Version of the Classic Tanks
October 26th, 2005 by Bobby in Retro Games
Overview
Tanks is a highly addictive multi-player flash game that is based off of a simple old windows 95 game. However, tanks has been substantially redone, and now has great graphics, tons of weapons, realistic features like engine upgrades, tank fuel, armor upgrades, and 3 different terrains to battle on.
Gameplay
Each player is in the firing seat of a tank, and has control of several weapons, shields, and tools. Players take alternating turns firing at the opponent trying to get the shot that will finish the other player off. In order to hit the enemy, you must adjust the power and height of the shot and choose a suitable weapon. Players must also consider the power of the wind and location of obstacles in aiming the tank. Every time you hit the enemy you earn money, that can be used to buy shields, armor, weapons, and other goods. Play continues on until one player manages to get enough shots to hit their opponent and destroy them. After the round is over, players enter a weapons screen and spend the cash that they earned from previous rounds.
After both players have bought the weapons that they desire, another round begins. The game goes on indefinitely, but is usually considered over when a player has a lead of 150,000 points. This is one game you do not want to miss.
