Is Lara Croft Leaving Britain
October 25th, 2005 by Al in General Gaming News
Looks like Lara Croft may be on the move again. It wasn’t long since previous owners Eidos were bought out by SCi Entertainment for £74 million. After that buyout the Lara Croft brand was soon back to being the profitable brand it deserved to be.
SCi is nowadays a profitable company with the share price increasing 17 fold over the last 3 years (geez I wish I’d invested then) but it now seems to be on the shopping list of some of the big boys from across the pond with companies like Midway and Electronic Arts expressing an interest. It will be interesting to see where this latest adventure takes Lara but I’m pretty sure we won’t of seen the last of her in Britain on anywhere else.
